RELAAY, an indie pop duo from Louisville, KY, is creating the music—and being the band—they needed to see as kids. Lifelong friends Audrey Cecil and Amanda Lucas transform shared struggles and triumphs into songs that are danceable and deeply introspective. Their debut album, Midtempo Magic, explores themes of loss, love, and liberation, creating a bold, unapologetic work that is both sonically rich and emotionally layered. To help with this project, RELAAY tapped their friend and fellow singer/songwriter Mark Charles (of Vandaveer) as producer and engineer. Justin Craig, a Grammy-nominated and Tony-nominated record producer, multi-instrumentalist, composer, and music director, mixed the album.
